Lovelines commemorated the duo's 20-year association with A&M Records, though Karen had died six years before. Ten of the 12 tracks were recorded for other albums but were not included for various reasons; two are remixes of previously released material. Richard penned the liner notes, which give some insight into the history of the pieces.
